Kayaking and travel are complementary persuits. Where ever there is a body of water, one can launch their boat and go where others can't. Sea kayaks
glide quietly on the water, allowing the paddler to view wildlife without disturbing it.Islands and beaches which otherwise would be inacessable can be reached. Kayaks were developed as hunting and fishing craft by Arctic peoples more than a thousand years ago. While still used as working boats by some inuit peoples, most of us go to sea in kayaks for fun and adventure.

Groups
There are many kayaking clubs and groups around the world. Connecting with such a group either in your home area or where you are traveling to is a great way to meet people. You can also learn alot about local kayaking possibilities from the people who know the most. Many commercial outfitters and stores are very helpful as well. These businesses are often run by people who love the sport and opened their operations so they could kayak more.
Talk to the right people and perhaps you too can get paid for persuing your hobby!
