Everyone in the Lexington Minute Men is a member of the Training Band. Participation in the performances or battles is not required, unless you are a new member. New members spend two years drilling and practicing safe and proper care of your equipment. After the mandatory two year stint, you are always welcome to join us in whatever capacity interests you.

Before the Training Band performs, rehearsal and practice (drill) is essential. The drills are truly enjoyable opportunities to get fitted out in your colonial clothing, march around Buckman Tavern, and handle (and perhaps fire) your musket. No pressure, no criticisms, lots of laughs, and even more history.

It's a great place to learn more about safety, marching and the manual of arms, as well as proper clothing and accouterment. Before you spend hard-earned cash on an item of inferior quality and authenticity, come to a drill (practice) and take a look around. Ask some questions, and learn more about Colonial New England.
