SECSI Mother System Motherboard

The SECSI Mother is a motherboard that supports up to eight plug-in cards. The SECSI Mother terminates the RS-485 serial line, and provides a reliable clock and serial receive and transmit data lines to its plug-in cards. Up to 64 SECSI Mothers can be connected to the RS-485 serial line. Each SECSI Mother will support up to eight SECSI Daughter and SECSI Cab Driver plug-in cards in any combination, to the system limit of 128 plug-in cards.

SECSI Daughter II Digital Input/Output Card

The SECSI Daughter II can be assembled as either a stand-alone control node or a plug-in card, providing 16 digital inputs and 32 digital outputs. The input lines are pulled up on the board, and can be driven with switches, push buttons, and open-collector or open-drain outputs of other electronics. The output lines are 200 milliamp open-drain outputs that provide a very high-impedance off-state and a very low-impedance on-state to ground. The unit supports either SECSI or C/MRI-compatible protocols.

SECSI Cab Driver II High-Current Relay Card

The SECSI Cab Driver II can be assembled as either a stand-alone control node or a plug-in card, providing 16 digital inputs and seven 10 amp block relays. The input lines are pulled up on the board, and can be driven with switches, push buttons, and open-collector or open-drain outputs of other electronics. The relays are wired to provide connection of up to seven cabs to a single track power block per card. The unit supports SECSI protocol, with C/MRI-compaible protocol under development now.

SECSI Connector RS-485 Adapter

The SECSI Connector is an RS-232 to RS-485 adapter/converter. The SECSI Connector converts a standard RS-232 Comm Port on a PC or other computer to the highly noise-immune RS-485 serial interface that is used in the SECSI system. One SECSI Connector is required in every SECSI system.

SECSI Suspenders Pull-Up Resistor Paddle Board

The SECSI Suspenders is a small 1.25” square board that allows the easy addition of pull-up resistors to SECSI Daughter outputs. The board has an 8-pin female Molex connector for plugging onto the SECSI Daughter, and an 8-pin male Molex connector to which you connect the normal wiring harness. Pull-up resistors can be installed on the board, simplifying the wiring of Tortoise motors and bi-color LED signals. In this picture, SECSI Suspenders is on the left, SECSI Limiters on the right. SECSI Limiter Limiting Resistor Paddle Board

The SECSI Limiter is a small 1.25” square board that allows the easy addition of limiting resistors to SECSI Daughter outputs. The board has an 8-pin female Molex connector for plugging onto the SECSI Daughter, and an 8-pin male Molex connector to which you connect the normal wiring harness. Limiting resistors can be installed on the board, simplifying the wiring of LED indicators and signals. In this picture, SECSI Suspenders is on the left, SECSI Limiters on the right. Ordering Information

To order TracTronics products, send us a list of the products desired, along with your personal check for the total list price plus $7 US shipping and handling within the United States. For shipment to points within the state of Illinois, you must also include 6.75% Illinois sales tax.

For Canada shipments, shipping and handling charges are either $10 US or $14 US, depending on your postal code. Call us and we will advise. Please make payment in US funds. For assembled units shipped to Canada, you must pay the GST to the shipper when the products arrive; there is no GST on electronics kits. We will handle the customs and export paperwork at this end.

International shipments go by US Post Office. If you are ordering from overseas, we will need to iron out the details for your country and advise you as to shipping and handling charges, which may add some time.
