When a loan officer is given a borrower-initiated lead that has just now been initiated on-line, the prospect of contacting and closing that consumer is greatly enhanced.
If that particular Lead is sold to thirty nine other Lenders, the LO may run into an agitated consumer.
THE NUMBER OF TIMES SOLD, Lead Quality, Lead Source, and the Age of the Lead, are all critical factors defining the value of a Mortgage lead.
All of these factors are equally important. If one is suspect, the rest are diluted in value.
Number of Times Sold - How important is that question for a Loan Officer working a Mortgage Lead?
It may well be the most important. If a Mortgage Lead is sold to dozens of Lead Brokers and dozens of Lenders, it really doesn't matter what the Source of the Lead was, How Old the Lead might be, or even what the Lead Quality might be. Cost doesn't enter the equation. The value of a Lead which is sold that many times isn't really measurable.
On the other hand, if the Lead is sold a Maximum of Four times, those other considerations become equally as important.

An Ideal Mortgage Lead is one that is NEW, has just been initiated by a borrower looking for a Loan Now, contains all the information needed to determine whether the Loan meets the parameters of the Lender profile, is reasonably priced, and has not yet been contacted.
