World 3 is formed for the purpose of exploring the opposites that exist in human nature. World 3 looks at such polarities as reality and fantasy, dream and waking life, male and female, and past and present in order to create a timeless dimension of magic that was created in the first instance of theatre- a third world beyond the limitations of present reality where imagination is the prime force of creation. World 3 wishes to transform the symbolic into intent, in a form of theatre that uses movement, mask, music, and dream imagery to open up the truths of age-old themes as well as new interpretations of already existing opposites. World 3 is especially interested in mixing ritual, language, and tradition of varying cultures around the world, using New York as a springboard for global communication, especially in education, human rights, and cultural awareness groups.
