Author
During
my years as a consultant I wrote dozens
of technical articles for lectures and
magazines.
I also had four technical books published. ----
"The
Handbook of Machine Soldering".
(Now into the 3rd edition)
Published by John Wiley and Sons.
A very practical handbook
for the manufacturing engineer, the operator and the
quality control inspectors. Covers every step of practical soldering from the
purchasing of solderable components, their inspection, storage and handling,
to the set up and operation of soldering machines and the skills of hand
soldering.
"Managing
the Manufacturing Process".
Published by John Wiley and Sons.
As a consultant, the
author saw many technical problems that eventually
turned out to be caused by ineffective management. This book defines the
fundamental problems and describes in detail the solutions that result in
higher quality and lower cost of manufacturing.
"A
Guide to the Control of Solderability".
Published by Miller Freeman.
Excellent
solderability is the basis for sound soldered joints. This book discusses
the causes, the solutions and the effects of less than excellent solderability
and
describes the simple but effective methods of eliminating the problems.
"A
Guide to Defect Free Soldering".
Published by Miller Freeman.
This handbook
brings together all the relevant information required to set up
and operate a high quality, low cost soldering process in extremely simple
terms.
It also contains pictures of the various soldering defects in a form that can
be
used as a quality standard.

My
first novel "The
Canyon"
has been published by PublishAmerica of Baltimore.
For many years I traveled to New Mexico on business and became fascinated with the history and grandeur of the state. In particular I spent many hours wandering around the remains of the civilization at Chaco Canyon and delved into the origins of the people who lived there. The
scientific descriptions of the causes of the demise of the people I felt
did not take into account their obvious human feelings and their high
levels of understanding. So I decided to write my version in the form of a
novel describing the end of the Anazasi. Long before the Mayflower reached America, a highly sophisticated society was beginning to develop and grow in the isolated rocky canyons of the high desert in the Southwest. This is the story of the beginning, the growth over the years and finally the self destruction of this amazing society. It is told through the lives of the generations of one family. It describes their initial struggle to find the basic needs to sustain themselves and their courage and tenacity in overcoming the disasters that nature has in store for them. Finally when they have achieved a standard of living that surpasses anything they have previously experienced, they come face to face with the frailties of human nature that eventually transform this paradise on Earth into a virtual prison and finally a lonely, totally deserted ruin. Readers may find a startling similarity to the problems that face civilization today. |
