Using the Suzuki piano method, the student as young as 3­1/2 is able to begin piano lessons. In this method, the child learns to play an instrument the same way he learns to speak: by hearing and copying. In the beginning, a parent comes to all of the lessons and learns the first, simple pieces of music with the child. This is definitely a child-friendly way to learn and parents love having the opportunity to learn as well.
