Owens also played OF in HS.  He was both Player and Pitcher of the Year in his Region, going 4-4, 0.89, with 86 Ks in 56 IP on the mound.  He's signed with both Arizona State and Chandler-Gilbert CC, and has said he wants to turn pro, so the Pirates probably have a good chance of being able to follow him next year.
