According to Baseball America, Wright went into 2008 as a highly regarded prospect, but struggled with his command.  He throws hard for a lefty, generally in the low 90s according to various accounts, and also throws a curve.  BA states that he might do better as a power-hitting corner player, but the Pirates announced him as a pitcher.  He's committed to Arkansas but isn't expected to be hard to sign.
