Cunningham had a commitment to Arizona State. Local
news reports stated that he was unlikely to sign with the Pirates,
but he did so anyway. He'll go to the GCL. The Pirates already
have Andury Acevedo and 7th-round pick Benjamin Gonzalez to play shortstop, so Cunningham may see time at 2B.
