Doran obviously made some serious strides in his second JC
season. The
team played very high-scoring games, but it may have been due to a lack of quality pitching. They had four pitchers, including Doran, with outstanding numbers and the rest of the staff all put up numbers similar to Doran’s first season. Doran doesn't throw hard, but one HR allowed in 92.1 IP is good. Baseball America rated Doran the #17 prospect in Kansas, without explanation. He has a commitment to Texas Tech.
