Antelo was one of a number of college seniors whom the Pirates drafted in 2005.
He put up good numbers in his last collegiate year, but it's hard to assess what
those numbers mean since he didn't play in a major conference. He had a solid
season with Williamsport—his overall #s were better than his ERA, as opponents
batted only 217/294/329 against him. (This has to be taken in context, as offensive
numbers are always very low in the NY-Penn League.) He throws in the low 90s, with
a high-effort motion, and has a good change. He should be in the rotation at
Hickory in 2006.
