Oakland drafted Charry in 2004.  He was described at the time as having a sinker, slider and good change.  His 2006 ERA is misleading, because over half the runs he allowed (35 out of 66) were unearned.  Although his JC performance wasn't that strong, he was a sophomore and couldn't be followed for another year.  The Pirates signed him shortly after the draft and he'll most likely start off in the GCL.
