Duguay was drafted out of junior college and quickly established himself as a strong relief prospect in the Twins' system. He throws an average, upper-80s fastball and average to above breaking ball, and is very good at locating his pitches and changing speeds. He posted high K rates while allowing few baserunners, but he got hurt during the 2005 season and the Twins released him. I don't know anything about the nature of the injury, but it must have been serious for the Twins to release one of their better pitching prospects. If he's healthy, Duguay could start at Hickory or Lynchburg.
