Vasquez gradually improved in three years in the VSL, but his BB and K numbers remained unimpressive.  He spent part of 2006 in the Bradenton rotation and put up weak numbers.  Returning there in 2007, strictly as a reliever, he improved his K rate but otherwise didn't pitch very well.  He came back for a third try in 2008 and did better in brief action.  He fared less well in his few appearances for State College.  After six years as a pro Vasquez hasn't gotten very far.  If he returns in 2009 it will probably be at State College.
