Summerlin was a four-year starter in college. He hit for average and showed some gap power, but doesn’t seem to have a lot of patience at the plate. He signed right after the draft and headed for State College. For the Spikes, Summerlin played mostly secondbase as Brock Holt mostly played short. Summerlin didn't hit at all. He's likely to make a quick transition to organizational player.
