What SMERSH is:
- A system operating within the GeneforEST, Prophecy and www.doubletwist.com products from DoubleTwist, Inc.
- A keyword-matching algorithm designed to assign EST sequences to the SNOMED tissue ontology, based on the uncontrolled vocabulary stored in the DBEST database. The algorithm provides reliable tissue categorization for sequences uncategorized in dbEST.
