Subject: attacks on the United States The chemical plant was manufacturing a chemical that would be used in combination with a variety of others to form nerve gas.. it was the penultimate ingredient, next to the last in the batch, and not neccessarily a harmful chemical in and of itself... no nerve gas was yet produced. I watched CNN after the bombing, where US officals were stating that the structures bombed were making precursors to nerve gas, and biological weapons. If anyone else noticed - there were some pretty large crowds standing about outside the structures. The question arises that if there were biologicals being manufactured, where is the epidemic from the release of these agents that now should be raging in the affected cities? Furtther if there were toxic chemicals such as a binary style nerve gas, one would expect some mixing to occur following the bombing. Where are all the dead bodies from this ? ************ winds were favorable. No damage from any chemicals. *********** zeropoint I am afraid that this raid - perhaps done in good faith, has critcially damaged Arabic - US relations. We have alienated and destroyed years of diplomatic processes. I don't care a whole lot about Bill Clinton's escapades with women. But the Islamic world does. Infact it cares a whole lot. His behavior is beyond reprehensible to them as a whole.Even before the attack President Clinton had completely lost all credibility and respect with the Islamic world. Bill Clinton's extramaritail behavior in Arabic countries carries some extremely horrible legal penalties. Every single person in the Islamic world knows this. President Clinton made a major error in this attack. Perhaps it was the right idea, but perhaps also it was the wrong way to go about it. Something had to be done to repay the attacks at our embassies, but was the bombing of these Islamic nations correct? ************** Sudan is written off. Sudanese have millions ready to "charge" Israel, via Egypt, where they will be joined by 10,000,000. Pakis, Turkmenstan, Azeris, uzbekistanis, khirgis, tadzikis, and Arabians are able to put 50,000,000 foot soldiers en route to join the 25,000,000 Iran trained, under Khomeini. No love was lost. If anything happens Monday, 8/24/98, Jerusalem will be Arabic by end of this year. ************* zeropoint At this point - political attacks from Islamic nations against Bill Clinton can surely be expected, both verbal, and perhaps overtly physical. I do not believe that any further trust will be forthcoming from our Arabic allies as long as Bill Clinton is in office. In this modern era of religous zealots willing to die for thier cause, the use of sucicide is an option to accomplish a means. The Islamic fundamentalists do not need bombs or other devices, all they need are about 30 people willing to be infected with a highly contagous virus or bacteria that needs about 24 to 36 hours to manifest symptoms. Give these folks destinations all over the US, and when they arrive by plane they would be healthy. In the next 48 hours however - the damage caused by the "Typhoid Mary" effect could be incredible. The FBI and the NSA are not going to be able to stop this anymore than they can stop a case of the seasonal Flu coming into the US . They may know it is coming, but there will be little to do about it. This is a sad situation for America as a whole, for I am afraid that many innocent Americans both civilian and enlisted alike will pay a high price for this gaff of diplomacy. In the end more than any one prior act, President Clinton may have ensured his resignation with this bombing. Jim ``The FBI has issued an alert to all local law enforcement officials about the heightened degree of concern they ought to manifest in their work,'' Berger said. When asked by reporters about possible retaliatory attacks on the United States, Berger said: ``We will take every measure to prevent that from taking place.'' ------------------ "The ablility to imagine is the largest part of what you call intelligence.
