The myoclonic spasm is that event each of us have likely known. Generally, the experience is usually had in bed, while sleeping and is usually a momentary convulsion accompanied by a sense of falling, the convulsing being the somatic or muscular attempt to regain balance and to clutch at or for support. In Vietnam, i drove a meatwagon, an ambulance for the US Army. I frequently came across Vietnamese who had been bashed, squished (run over on the chest by a big fat truck), asphyxiated and otherwise rendered inoperative; that is to say, i interacted with Vietnamese unable to perform within normal parameters. None of the persons to which i am referring had suffered a puncture. Those suchly affected Vietnamese i never interacted with, only i would observe them where they lay, so as to avoid stepping on a carpet of them or to watch them ambulating about without my intervention in any way. (In Vietnamese hospitals which are really only situations, since at the beginning of the war, there were only 212 civilian Vietnamese in the entire country) Chest punctures were treated by being left to die on the floors. Eighty five percent mortality. This compared with an in hospital American mortality rate of one and one half to two and one half percent. These Vietnamese were all but one of them shuddering. I can count all of the Vietnamese that i touched on two hands. The same for Americans, except that it was either to receive or to deliver a sharp blow intended to be particularly unpleasant. (note the use of the word "intended") The act of touching these people so as to relocate them did nothing for their conditions. The act of touching them with loving kindness caused them immediately to cause them to cease to shudder. I witnessed the effect even if the individual (Navy nurse) had been "encouraged" by myself and my only then true buddy to touch the despised little bugger by her awareness of our proceeding to photograph her. As the camera came to the ready, the nurse, seeking to do something with her awkward hands, proceeded to touch the patient she had until then been vilifying in a long stream of oaths and lurid descriptions. The nurse was seething with hatred. The beautiful touch of the nurse stilled and invigorated the victim, who had been asphyxiated in the hold of a ship with gasoline motors running. This guy did not completely relax until, while riding back to the dispensary at the edge of the harbor by the ships, i spoke to him in a confidential whisper in Vietnamese. The man whispered back to me confidentially, the first time he had spoken. We kicked him out on the spot and let him walk back. I don't know how much love was infused in that situation, the nurse could touch no no touch ever before. I don't think she could trickle love. But a fully willing nurse touched the squished guy and he was immediately okay and on his feet and out the door. A kid though is a better example of this shudder thing which you can sometimes see mobs of them do at once, out of pure fear. He was in that state of pause shared by scores of the Vietnamese standing around the scene of the accident, but he was laying down and very tense, and shuddering. (The two GIs in the jeep that struck the boy were standing on the seats of the jeep and hugging each other to keep from falling over while their rubber legs were doing the Charleston with absolute terror. I had parked fifty yards away and left an iron weapon in the truck with the totally helpless and frozen conscientious objector, a Seventh Day Adventist who turned out to be the child molester the men tracked down who had taught the little boys to enter the shower with a GI and to wash his penis when one took a shower.) They, the responses to being touched affectionately, [(a function of the third chakra, red (frequency range), (electrochemical) fire (third fractal), the hindu codification of the plexus which is arbitrarily assigned to the region of the mid torso (no particular point). There are two Dhyani Buddha associated with this so-called chakra, one life, the other love. There are also states of emotions and a codices for their permutation in the domain of affect.] seemed to melt the person out of an oscillation about the bowels of the spasmodic moment. Touch is the highest form of communication. Touch is one of the qualities or functions of the first chakra, yellow, solid state. The emotion for this chakra is compassion itself. The permutations of the declension of the emotion are pride and shame (Empire and subject in Jewish Kabbala). The local buddha is Avalokiteshvara in Sanskrit, Christos in Greek. This chakra allows the third chakra to pivot its permutations by exchanging relationships through the agency of the libido, which is the second chakra, situated about four finger lengths below the navel of a sound and erect torso, a point coinciding with the center of gravity and certain carnal energies and sensations and the obvious functions for motion in terms of bifurcation (drag out bifurcte.gif. Similar functions present the bilateral symmetry of the upper torso) When the third and the first chakras are exchanging places, we have the shimmer l have been talking about. Does anyone remember the statement of the pathway down through the chakras and the articulation of the framework of the process which is shimmer? We are coming up fast on discussion of the chakras of the second locale, where air molecules are as galaxies.... The sixth chakra where mirroring has its unique effect in this system chosen rather than western stuff, too yuccchy at this point, to overlay over the paradigm which is the exegesis of the continuum of the cosmos we would understand in material but correct terms, so as to be able to go about implementing the tools conceived in applied zero point physics. Later..... I shall expect you to refer precisely to the email by cutting and pasting with care, okay? The point of the post is to draw insight in to the shimmer by drawing an analogy between it and the subjective experience of the myoclonic spasm. There will be more on this much later on. This is part of the coalescing of the many little statements sown over the past few months. If you are beginning to see any light, please don't stifle it by not stating so to myself, in private, if you want (no extended ono-on-one sessions on core material, not outside of a business-like relationship of the formal kind).
