What's New? Fall 2011

Since September 2009 I have been the Director of the JCC Kaleidoscope Creative Arts and Science Camp, an eight-week Jewish Community Center day camp in Newton, MA. Kaleidoscope includes classes in music, dance, theater, visual arts and science, sports, swimming and boating, as well as fully-realized theatrical productions and exhibitions. JCC Kaleidoscope Camp enrolls campers in grades K-8 and CITs entering grades 9-11. For more information, please go to jccgb.org/kaleidoscope.

I have continued to be involved in community and children's theater, as well as teaching and performing. One of the most gratifying of these was being a part of the Framingham High School's production of "The Laramie Project" last fall. Director Donna Wresinksi invited community members to perform along with high school students, and to engage in a "Love is Louder" campaign to combat hate and build tolerance.

This fall I assisted with the Framingham Community Theater's production of "Curtains," an ambitious and wonderfully staged production at the former Civic League theater in downtown Framingham. I look forward to working with them and other local theater companies in the future.

It should be a wonderful year - hope yours is enjoyable as well.
