EP-1010:
8/15/96 Subject - Master/Slave system displays “Slave-Net
Failure” alarms.
With EP-1010 master/slave systems that consist of one
master EP and one slave EP, if troubleshooting does not reveal the cause of
a “Slave-Net Failure” alarm, you may be able to resolve it by adding a 3rd
EP to the system. This EP will need
at least one load programmed, and it should be left inactive on the EP
directory screen. This causes the
master EP to allow more time for responses from the slave EP, preventing
false alarms.
