PID Control:
10/29/96 Subject: Using Outside Air Lockout with PID control.
One reason for using the PID (type 2) control
program for outside air damper control is so you can have the damper go to
a minimum position under some conditions, and full closed during other
conditions. When using Outside Air
Lockout in the Control Settings (for example, to lock the damper out when
the OAT exceeds 65 degrees) the damper will go full closed, which is not
usually the desired state. To get
around this, do not use OAT lockout.
Instead, use NCL to look at the outside air temp. When it is above the desired temp., have
NCL change the setpoint of the outside air damper to a value where it will
always be satisfied. This will
cause the damper to go to the desired minimum position.
06/25/97 Subject: PM2 Processing Modem
The PM2 can be made to dial a credit card
number automatically. To do this,
after the system phone number enter a comma, a “w”, then the credit card
number. The “w” will cause it to
pause until it hears a tone.
