David Alcott Champagne has been writing beautiful songs since he was a skinny twentysomething back in the 70s. His first successful music endeavor was with old friend Mark Sandman in the band Treat Her Right (signed to Mercury Records).

He is now teamed up with wife and singer Katie. The Heygoods recently released their second album, entitled Fleetwood Skynyrd. It's a collection of whack-you-over-the-head Americana roots rock numbers, and has been hailed by local Boston pubs as one of the best releases of 2005.
