12/12/04: The
curtains are hung, the trash drawer is fixed, and I am beginning to
settle into all the rooms. It's an adjustment since I was so used
to only using two rooms at a time. The exterior hasn't changed much
in the last couple of months, but I now have gutters and a screen
door.

The living room and dining room have a very nice flow.
I have already had my first formal dinner party! I invited my neighbors
over to thank them for putting up with seven months of construction,
construction vehicles, construction workers, construction debris...

Curtains at the bottom of the stairs (kitchen) and
in the upstairs hallway.

This is the mirror that provided the basis for the
craft room upstairs. I can't let you see the rest of the room right
now as it is a disaster from when I abandoned it for the living room.
Plus there are Christmas presents spread out everywhere!

The master bedroom and bathroom haven't changed much
from week 25.

I'm still trying to figure out where I put everything
in the kitchen. I'm really enjoying all the counterspace, and I can
still see the TV from the sink!

That's all folks! Thanks for tuning in. With all the
extra space, the Lang B&B-Southern New England is now accepting
reservations :)
12/5/04: Sorry I've been delinquent
in updating. Construction was finished in week 29 (the week of Nov
15-19), with two exceptions: the dishwasher ran one load and died,
and the trash drawer in the kitchen doesn't open and close properly.
The cabinet guy is coming on 12/6 to fix the drawer. The dishwasher,
after many phone calls and cancelled appointments, has been replaced
and is running like a dream. I owe my life to Dan at Sears.
Now all that's left is unpacking and decorating. I
spent the entire day hanging curtains - I can't believe how long that
takes. There will be pictures next week. To tide you over, here is
a picture taken just before Thanksgiving, showing the living room
with curtains.
