Monday I got my thermostat back - it went away when
the walls came down in July, and I had not been able to turn on my
furnace or AC since then. The heat works (it's been chilly in New
England!), but the AC is still not hooked up, although I can use the
fan part of it.

Also on Monday, they took away the braces around the
cement step, so I no longer have to walk the plank. Tuesday they put
in the columns.

Wednesday ADT security came to hook up some new equipment
given the structural changes. In doing so, they knocked out the phone
lines inside the house. After two days of furious phone calls, a tech
came on Friday afternoon. He spent 3 hours trying to figure it out
and finally ran a new phone wire along the baseboard of the downstairs
bedroom. It's not pretty but at least I have phones again. I'll deal
with that later.
My reward for all this pain was seeing pretty colors
on Friday. The walls were primed - meaning these aren't the final
colors, just primer (Kilz) mixed with my colors.
1. Kitchen; 2. Master bedroom looking front; 3. 2nd
bedroom looking rear - the final color will be greener than the primer.
