Carpeting is installed on the stairs and the entire first floor. Up until now, the living room/dining room area had two separate floorings (old rug, old kitchen floor), not to mention rolls of carpet and various appliances floating around. The pictures don't do justice to how huge the room looks when it is empty.

The kitchen hardware is installed.

The downstairs bathroom is retiled, and the drop-ceiling is boarded (due to the ductwork they had to run). They still have to grout the tile and plaster the ceiling.

The painter showed up Thursday - only a week late - to paint the two bedrooms downstairs. The front room is repainted blue; the back room, to be the office, is a light brown.

I spent half a day Saturday moving my clothes into the new closet. This is what's left after three give-away bags are filled! Now I have to remember what is in what drawer.

The living room furniture is delivered Saturday morning. The couches are quite cushy, and the loveseat is a dual recliner.
