Did some walking around Moscow today. Weather's been cool the last couple of days with temperatures only getting to the low to mid 50's and windy. Took the Metro to the Bolshoi Theater to buy tickets to see Sleeping Beauty . The performance was sold out, but as in New York, there were scalpers not far from the theater. I bought a few balcony seats for tomorrow night. I think my 5 year old is going to love it.
Front of the Bolshoi Theater and picture taken from the front steps looking our over the fountain towards the Kremlin.
Two views of the fron of the Hotel Metropol near the Bolshoi Theater. Beautiful mosaic at the top of the building.
Moscow is about 800 years old and was founded by Yureu Dolgorukomu. On of the many arches along lower Tverskaya Street.
A park across from Pushkin Square and Kroshka Kartoshka nearby. I've eaten at these stands and would do it again. They have baked potatoes which they fill with your choice of fillings. You can have one filling or up to six. I've eaten about 4 of these so far and plan to eat more. They're everywhere in Moscow.
Jennifer and Valerie with two speech teachers from the baby home. Valerie and Jennifer aftger I caught them hiding.
A few pictures of one of the caregivers with Jennifer and Valerie. Valerie and the caregiver said they weren't ready for the first picture, but Jennifer sure was.
Jennifer hiding (not very well) behind the curtains and hanging out with our translator Ellya in the playground.
I don't know who the guys next to the Mercedes SUV with the machine guns were waiting for outside the Tverskaya, but I imagine someone very important.
