Didn't take many pictures the last couple of days. One day we didn't go anywhere interesting and the next day the batteries died on my camera. I have rechargeables, but didn't have a fresh set in the camera. We did find a couple of good restaurants near the Marriott Tverskaya. One called "My Friends" and the other was "Vremya Est" (Time to Eat). The first was good, the second was fabulous. My wife had chicken shishkebob with jasmine rice and it was delicious. I happen to think the veal Zurich I ordered was even batter. Tender veal with mushrooms and roasted potatoes in a tasty cream sauce. Dinner with 2 glasses of wine, a couple of juices for my daughter and a couple of cups of coffee came to 930 rubles, about $32. You can check out the menu at http://www.vremyaest.ru/
First picture taken from the 7th floor of the hotel of my wife pushing my daughter on a swing. Two girls happy to have Chupa Chups.
Bremya Yest restaurant and the view from the front window of the Zen Coffee Shop looking towards Rostics, Russia's answer to Kentucky Fried Chicken. The Zen Coffee Shop is one of the few places in Moscow where you CAN'T smoke. Rostics actually has very good fried chicken and you can also get a glass of beer with your meal if you like. It's next door to Patio Pizza and a few minutes from the hotel.
Another view from the Zen looking toward Bellorusskaya Station and one of my daughter catching rain drops waiting for the weather to break.
A few minutes later the weather broke and the sky started to turn blue. A Mocow trolley bus, another popular mode of transportation.
Two views looking at the forth floor lounge of the Marriott Tverskaya. |
