Back Up

Today we went to the passport office on the other side of Moscow. It was really a bit out of the city and was beyond the first stop on the Metro line.  The pictures I took were just places we were passing in the car.

The local Lada dealer in Moscow and a couple of Ladas and a Volga near Red Square. It seems you can still buy the top of the line Lada for about $9,000. The model 2107 looks about the same today as it did 30 years ago.

Photo at left shows the Baltschug Kempinski which may be the best hotel in Moscow and photo at right shows one view of the 3,000 room Rossiya which may be one the worst.

The side view of the Hotel National across from the entrance to Red Square and very close to the entrance to the Kremlin. I understand it's a great hotel, but may not be the best for adoptive parents with a new child. I believe the red building is the Mayor's residence.
