Our Moscow Adoption

Today we did some exploring on the Moscow Metro. It's interesting that is so far below ground compared to the New York Subway. You go down 3 flights of stairs to buy your pass and then get on an escalator that goes another 3 or 4 stories below ground. The different stations are quite interesting and it's not to difficult to get around if you can read Russian or read a map. The Moscow Metro was opened in 1931 and was Lenin's idea.
This is the Mayakovskaya station located a block from the Marriott Grand. It's the green line of the Metro.
Mosaics on the ceilings. The first from Belloruskaya station and the second from Mayakovskaya.
Belloruskaya Station and a walkway near Tetralnaya Station a block from the Bolshoi Theater and 2 blocks from the Kremlin.
