Looking for Cormac is a 33 1/3 minute, stream of consciousness documentary that follows three filmmakers as they travel across the South West in search of the well known, reclusive author Cormac McCarthy (author of "All the Pretty Horses").

Combining influences such "Easy Rider" and "On The Road", Looking For Cormac chronicles a two-week journey, originating in New York City and ending in El Paso, Texas. The film incorporates interviews with authors (i.e. Larry Brown), folk artists (i.e. A.J. Boudreaux), raconteurs, journalists and psychics. Interviewees address topics that range from the nature of fame, the artists place in modern America and myth in popular culture.  Cormac McCarthy, his work and penchant for solitude are the center to which interviewees and the filmmakers constantly return.

Initially intent on locating the author, the filmmakers begin to question their own motives as they approach their goal. In the end, after 3,000 miles, dozens of interviews and encounters with the law, the filmmakers find themselves within a stone`s throw of the author...
