Kate Hudec was born in Washington, DC in 1962. She began making photographic images at the age of ten. After a career producing documentaries for the PBS series Nova and The American Experience, she returned to photography. "I spent so many years looking for images that would set the story straight," explains Hudec. "It’s exhilarating to produce images that do the opposite."
