I dunno what else to call 'em.  Corn field roads - you know, those long, straight 2 lane blacktop roads with cornfields on both sides.  Very common back then in this part of PA.

Most of the fields are industrial parks or suburban subdivisions now, but now I sound like my father.  "I remember when this was all cornfields!"  Dunno HOW many times I heard that growing up as my Dad would drive us around the Allentown / Bethlehem area that he hadn't seen for 15 or so years...

Besides, who am I to bitch.  My office is in a building that was a cornfield in 1988, and our new house is in a development that was a cornfield in 1977....
