Pulp Fiction Incident #2

The reason I say, "Stupid and unimportant" is because, remember, this happened in one of my beaters (the Mazda GLC) so I really didn't care, but it DID illustrate the evil power of the Pulp Fiction Soundtrack.

There ain't much to it really.  My friend Erika was attending Allentown College at the time and I was there often to hang out with her.  The one night I pulled into the dorm lot and parked next to a light pole on the right side of the car.  One of the poles on a large concrete base, know what I mean?

I no longer remember exactly what we did that night or anything, but I do remember we were playing the Pulp Fiction Soundtrack at some point.

OK, so when I left it was about 2 AM (no, I had not been drinking if I recall correctly) and when I got in the car, of course Pulp Fiction Soundtrack (told you we were obssessed with it...we had seen the movie about 20 times by this point - remember, Mom worked at the movie theater so it was free) was playing in the car.

I started it up, pulled forward and cut the wheel right to turn towards the exit, and wondered what the SCRAAAAPE CRUNCH CRUNCH CRUNCH noise was, until I remembered the huge concrete base on the light pole right next to my car.  I actually got locked up against the pole and had to back up to get unstuck from it.

DUH.

Damage:  Both doors and rear quarter panel were bashed in and scraped all to hell, BUT I could care less, this was a $50 car.

However, it served to demonstrate the evil power of the Pulp Fiction soundtrack.   There was a 3rd reason for the Bad Omen of PF but I don't remember what it was anymore.

Suffice to say...PF soundtrack was never again allowed to be played in any car I owned.
