3. George³ Layne (Ayres², John¹) (#729) was born 1781. George died February 1863 at 81 years of age. His body was interred in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia, Alexander Miller Family Cemetery.

He married Sally Gilliam August 28, 1804. (Sally Gilliam is #730.) Sally is the daughter of John Gilliam Jr. and Annie Perrish.

George Layne and Sally Gilliam had the following children:

8 v. Martha Layne (#753). She married James Scury. (James Scury is #754.)

9 vi. Lucy A. Layne (#755). She married Rowland M. Richardson. (Rowland M. Richardson is #756.)

10 vii. Jane Woodson Layne (#723) was born January 29, 1822. Jane died February 24, 1902 in Bedford County, Virginia, at 80 years of age. Her body was interred in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia, Tuder Hall (Family) Cemetery. She married Daniel Shaffey Miller May 17, 1845. (Daniel Shaffey Miller is #722.) Daniel was born October 02, 1818. Daniel was the son of James Miller and Nancy Campbell. Daniel died July 18, 1900 in Bedford County, Virginia, at 81 years of age. His body was interred in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia, Tudor Hall (Family) Cemetery. (See Daniel Shaffey Miller for the continuation of this line.)
