1. Joseph David¹ Lawman (#928) was born in Sandidiges, Virginia March 25, 1860. Joseph died December 14, 1940 at 80 years of age. His body was interred in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia, Mount Pleasent Cemetery.

He married Sarah Tucker McDaniel. (Sarah Tucker McDaniel is #929.) Sarah was born in Sandidiges, Virginia December 03, 1866. Sarah died November 11, 1922 at 55 years of age. Her body was interred in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia, Mount Pleasent Cemetery.

Joseph David Lawman and Sarah Tucker McDaniel had the following children:

2 i. Robbie Estelle² Lawman (#1252) was born October 15, 1889. Robbie died November, 1955 at 66 years of age. Her body was interred in Richmond, Virginia, Forest Lawn Cemetery. She married Robert Lawrence Miller. (Robert Lawrence Miller is #771.) Robert was born in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia October 25, 1891. Robert was the son of Alexander (Pomp) Miller and Annie Maria Jennings. Robert died November 24, 1972 at 81 years of age. His body was interred in Charlottesville, Albemarle County, Virginia, Holly Memorial Gardens. (See Robert Lawrence Miller for the continuation of this line.)

3 ii. Gertrude Lawman (#927) was born in Willow, Amherst County, Virginia February 17, 1909. She married Basil Leroy Miller in Yanceyville, North Carolina, July 17, 1937. (Basil Leroy Miller is #510.) Basil was born February 14, 1909. Basil is the son of Napoleon Bonaparte (Nip) Miller Sr and Annie Etta Stinnett. Basil graduated in Blacksburg, Virginia, 1965. Institution: Virginia Tech.
