He married Cornelia Catherine Estes in Madison, Virginia, October 8, 1908. (Cornelia Catherine Estes is #2189.) Cornelia was born March 24, 1887.

Bernard Scott Gibbs and Cornelia Catherine Estes had the following child:

2 i. Marilyn Dalhart² Gibbs (#2187) was born November 5, 1927. She married Homer Vernon Seale Jr in Madison, Virginia, July 16, 1948. (Homer Vernon Seale Jr is #2186.) Homer was born November 5, 1928. Homer is the son of Homer Vernon Seale Sr and Addie Vane Duff. (See Homer Vernon Seale Jr for the continuation of this line.)
