4. Charles Carroll⁴ Grice (Charles Alexander³, Joseph², Francis¹) (#2346) was born in Portsmouth, Virginia January 5, 1833. Charles died November 1, 1887 in Smithfield, Virginia, at 54 years of age.

He married Mary Elizabeth Bain December 14, 1854. (Mary Elizabeth Bain is #2347.) Mary was born in Peoria, Illinois July 11, 1838. Mary was the daughter of David Augustus Kay Bain and Elizabeth Anne Chisman. Mary died January 6, 1897 in Smithfield, Virginia, at 58 years of age.

Charles Carroll Grice and Mary Elizabeth Bain had the following children:

5 i. Rosa⁵ Grice (#2363). She married James A. Libby. (James A. Libby is #2395.) (See James A. Libby for the continuation of this line.)

6 ii. Mary Eliza (Mamie) Grice (#2345) was born in Portsmouth, Virginia November 18, 1855. Mary died August 4, 1943 in Chuckatuck, Virginia, at 87 years of age. She married William Goodwin Bunkley in Isle of Wright County, Virginia, December 14, 1875. (William Goodwin Bunkley is #2344.) William was born in Isle of Wright County, Virginia November 25, 1849. William was the son of John Thomas Bunkley and Josephine Virginia Goodwin. William died February 3, 1929 in Chuckatuck, Virginia, at 79 years of age. 7 iii. Charlene Grice (#2362) was born 1858. Charlene died 1929 at 71 years of age. She married Fletcher Augustus Bunkley. (Fletcher Augustus Bunkley is #2369.) Fletcher was born 1857. Fletcher died 1928 at 71 years of age. (See Fletcher Augustus Bunkley for the continuation of this line.)
