Ed Mount (Saxophone) started playing the saxophone in 4th grade when urged by Sister Mary Thomas IHM. Not completely taken by the good sister's offer, Ed was bribed by his mother into taking up the saxophone when she bought him an expensive Transformer action figure. After a while an amazing thing happened--Ed actually enjoyed playing the sax. Ed continued to pursue music in the St John Neumann High School band playing oboe, South Philadelphia String Band as lead alto, and in WCU Criterions Jazz Ensemble as lead tenor. During his college summers, he performed in the Six Flags Great Adventure strolling band and comical group. Ed graduated West Chester University with a Communications degree in 1995 and moved to Los Angeles, California for two years where he worked in the special effects industry for such motion pictures as "Godzilla" and "Armageddon," two films in which he did not receive a screen credit. Don't worry, he's not bitter about it. Ed currently works as an application specialist for a software development company outside of Philadelphia.

Ray
Clemens (Bass) was born and raised in Norman, Oklahoma, home of
the Sooners. He started playing upright in 5th grade after seeing a bluegrass

few years later he saw a performance of the Ray Brown Trio, after which it was
all about Jazz. The rest was downhill from there. Ray studied Jazz
and Classical at the Idyllwild Arts Academy in Idyllwild, CA. While there
he was a member of the International Chamber Orchestra and had the privilege
of performing with Leonard Bernstein at the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. He
studied with Marshall Hawkins. Ray later moved to New York city, where
he studied Jazz at The New School, Mannes School of Music. While there, he studied
with Buster Williams, Reggie Workman, Arnie Lawrence, and Jimmy Owens. In
addition to Impressions, Ray is currently playing with the Audubon
