Mike's Tango & Cash Page!
Included below are a description of the movie and my obsession with it, pictures, quotes and sound clips from the movie, and a spotlight on everyone's favorite villain, Mr. Perret.
The Story...
I've watched Tango & Cash (TC) way too many times. Sometime early in 1996, I recorded it off some movie channel, and over the last couple of years, I've watched the movie an innumerable amount of times. I guess the only reason I did this was because it was amusing. I had more fun laughing at the characters than I did laughing with them. So, I would repeat various parts of the movie over and over and over, in slow motion, fast motion, regular motion, you name it, I did it. Anyway, this movie has had a profound influence on my life. I will be including many examples on this page as time goes on.
The movie stars Kurt Russel as a bad-ass cop (Gabriel Cash), Sylvester Stallone as the more tight-ass cop (Ray Tango), and Jack Palance as the evil drug loard, Yves Perret. Also featured are Quan and Lopez, Mr. Perret's sidekicks of Asian and Hispanic descent, respectively. Another of Perret's henchmen is the red-haired, pony-tailed Australian brute known simply as Raquin. Most of the rest of the cast consists of various evil-doers, be they criminals locked up by the two star cops (i.e. the guy with the jaw), or people who participated in the set up that lead to the cops' imprisonment. Tando and Cash do have a few allies, such as their commanders, the always-modest-genius Owen, and the assitant warden of the prison, Matt Sikowski.

Some Pictures From the Movie...
Cashmir2.jpg -- Gabriel Cash (Kurt Russell) admires himself in the mirror.
Perretof.jpg -- Perrett is leaning forward in his office. Note the statue of a naked (?) man in the backgroung. Is he making an obscene gesture of some sort?
Persmile.jpg -- This is Perrett's hideously toothy grin.
Ql2.jpg -- Here, Quan and Lopez are pictured together, riding in the back of Perrett's limo.
Qsmile.jpg -- This is a photo of Quan's photogenic smile.
Tangogun.jpg -- Ray Tango (Sylvester Stallone) holds a gun in this shot.
Jack Palance...
By far the most amusing character in the movie is Yves Parrett, the crusty, old, drug-dealing villain. He is the ring-leader of crime in Los Angeles, directing operations with Mr. Quan (East LA) and Mr. Lopez (West LA). With time, I will list many of the amusing things this man does in the movie. For now, though, we must suffice with a picture of the man who plays Yves, Jack Palance. While Yves seems really mean in the movie, I've found an article indicating that Jack is, perhaps, not at all like the character he plays.
