The Infamous Coat Pins...

Those of you who know me fairly well (in person) know that I have a jacket/coat that I always wear.  It is my three season L.L. Bean barncoat.  I've had this coat since my senior year (1994-95) in high school, and it's gathered quite a few miles.  I started putting pins on the lapel around my freshman year in college, and the collection changes frequently.  The pins represent a number of things, mostly the places I've been and visited.  To find out more about where the pin came from and/or what it represents, click on one of the pins or the corresponding text link in the table.

The following is a recent addition to my homepages on AOL. I've put it here so that I can show off some of my excellent black and white photography skills...

Pardon me boy, is that the Chattanooga Choo-Choo?

Okay, some people (namely my friend Robert) accuse me of being an FRN. Email Robert and ask him what that abbreviation means. I'd be rude to reveal the truth here, so I'll let him do the job for me.

Anyway, I like trains! I like a lot of other things as well, such as photography. So, I say to myself, why not combine the best of both worlds by doing a photograph essay on trains, conductors, and people in train stations? CAM-O-RAMA!!!

You've seen 'em out there...the web cameras that everyone seems to have now. What's up with them? Sure, they're a lot of fun to play with, but to broadcast yourself on the Internet 'round the clock (or at least for a good portion of the day)? I believe that the webcam phenomenon first became well-known and more popular with the highly publicised JenniCAM. Then I discovered STEVOCAM, which was created as a parody of JenniCAM. Now that internet access, digital lines, and digital cameras are becoming more readily available around the world, everyone's getting a shot! Here are two really great and funny guys from Amsterdam, with whom I the pleasure of talking on ICQ. They just got their webcams set up and they need a catchy name! Perhaps you can help them out. Yes, AmsterCAM is already in use, folks.

See Paul (and his girlfriend Florine)!
This is Paul's friend Ivo, AKA Stippy
