The Idea

Gold, silver, platinum, diamonds... ideas.

The idea behind this drawing is simple. It's about an idea. Ideas are bright and blazing when they first present themselves. They are brilliant, dazzling, and bright. They are also highly sought after.

The New Economy

This picture was actually inspired long before the New Economy came to a blistering halt. It first appeared in a previous recession, where layoffs were rampant in the mid-to-late 1990's. I experienced layoffs for the first time in a company that I once believed very strongly in. It was a painful experience to see so many good people lose their jobs for no reason other than terribly bad management. The walls are crumbling and yet the executives continue to receive large salaries and large bonuses. Here the executives protect their income by taking a hatchet to hive

The Talisman

The first in a series of symbols representing "luck." This illustration is inspired by the Kaballah. I have a deck of cards where this symbol appears in black and white. The design of this symbol is not my own, the application of color, however is.

Xena and Gabrielle

Ok, not really, but this rather large work was inspired by the TV show. I really don't know why, but it just popped out of me.

Origin of Insecurity

Sperm meets egg and is intimidated. It's all downhill from there. Forget about original sin, and instead ponder the roots of insecurity. The feminist in me rears her head, and speaks out on mankind's incessant need to dominate. I fully believe that the need to dominate another stems from a deeply rooted insecurity, and hence this playful depiction of the original insecurity.

August Eve

Tanned by the summer sun, enjoying the night sky.
