At Boston Tutoring Center we believe:

• All children have the ability to excel if given the proper encouragement and instruction.
   
• Our job is to carefully interview, screen, train and retain high quality, dedicated and caring individuals to instruct your child. Our tutors must pass a rigorous interview and screening, as well as a CORI criminal background check.
   
• All of our tutors are college graduates, many with advanced degrees and teaching certifications. We have high standards for our tutors, which they must consistently meet or exceed in order to remain with us.
   
• Tutoring is a partnership between parents, students and the tutor. To that end, we ask all parents to fill out a questionnaire at the start of the program to specify what they want for their children from the tutoring experience (homework help, reach back instruction, go ahead work, enrichment, test prep, etc.).
   
• We are accountable to you by making sure that you are informed about what happens at each tutoring session, what was assigned for homework (yes, we do give homework) and what is expected of your child.
   
• We invite you to join us for the last 10 minutes of each tutoring session to discuss progress, assignments, and any concerns about the tutoring with your child and the tutor.
