1939 -
Viatcheslav Kalinin is considered the leader of Russian nonconformism.
This is the largest in the world private collection of his works.
Currently his works are displayed in museums around the world.
The offered collection covers various periods of the artist's creative
life between 1980 and 1987.


Short Biography

  • Born in Moscow in 1939.
  • Graduated Abramcevo Art College in 1962.
  • Began his career in 1962 and rapidly progressed to the leading position among Russian artists.
  • Became known abroad in 1967 (exhibition at Signo Gallery, Rome, Italy).
  • In close contacts with noncorfomist artists A.Zverev, D.Krasnopevtzev, I.Kabakov, V.Nemukhin, A.Slepyshev, E.Shteynberg and others organized the famous "Bulldozer Exhibition" in Bee-keeping Pavilion at VDNK.
