Images from the March 22 Anti-War March in New York
An amazingly large and energetic crowd filled Broadway for miles. Here are a few pictures (I've put them in approximately chronological order; if you want to see the BIG collage of photos I made, click here):
Lots of banners, lots of signs A creative use of oil company merchandise I ran into a group of bicyclists against the war, and, since I was on my bike, I joined them for a bit. (By the way, all these shots are around Union Square; my other photos are from farther south on Broadway.) The men in blue. I heard there were some scuffling and arrests but I personally saw no bad behavior on the part of the police. My compadres This a shot of the crowd moving towards Washington Square Park.
