St. Vigeans, outskirts of Arbroath

Photo of St Vigeans church, with graveyard.

Rebuilt many times over the years over a rather intriguing mound, this church is named after the missionary Fichean/Vigean.
Nearby are housed several Pictish stones which had been incorporated into the church's construction until their removal in the 1950's.
