  • Joel McNamara's Computer Privacy Page
    • This guy has created an Awesome Email to PGP Interface and it is Freeware. I currently use version 3.52t by Ian Lynagh, which used the original source code. The program is called Private Idaho. You need PGP 2.6.2 to use Private Idaho effectively. In addition, Private Idaho will step you through setting up an anonymous account via a Nym Server. What's a Nym Server?
      • Quoted from Private Idaho's Help file: "Nym is simply another term for an alias or pseudonym. NYM.ALIAS.NET is a privacy-oriented Internet provider that is currently offering a no-charge service that allows you to create a nym account (where e-mail can securely be forwarded to you)."
      • "This is similar to setting up an anon.penet.fi account, only much more secure. Instead of using a data base of users associated with account names (like penet.fi), the service works by rerouting through remailers and conventionally encrypting messages forwarded to you with PGP."
  • PGP Mail and PGPfone
    • Secure Communications have finally arrived in the form of PGPfone and PGPmail. This is the home of PGP, Phil Zimmerman's business page.
  • Lance Cottrell's Web Site (Home of Mixmaster)
    • Mixmaster is a More Secure form of anonymous remailing which has been seamlessly added to new version of Private Idaho via the Remailer Menu. An essay on how Mixmaster works can be found Here.
  • John Doe (Set Up an Anonymous Name)
    • This program is similar in nature to Private Idaho, but does not try to go as far. John Doe will step you through the process of setting up an anonymous account and arguably is easier to do so than Private Idaho's interface.
    • John Doe initially will only allow you to use an anonymous name that starts with jdoe-xxxx. xxxx being anything that you choose to add after jdoe.
    • You will need to register the program, if you want to set up a truly anonymous name. That is a name other than jdoe-xxxx.
    • John Doe will allow you to set up multiple anonymous names and the interface easily allows you to switch amongst them.
  • Nym.Alias.Net's Remailer List
    • This is the place to get a snapshot of the 12 day uptime history of the reliable remailers. If you use any of the programs above, like Private Idaho or John Doe, you will want to keep your remailer list fresh.
  • Potato
    • This DOS based program supports anonymous and pseudonymous remailers. The program will format your message for output to your favorite email program. In addition, POTATO allows you to easily send MIME attachments along with your encrypt message.
  • Anonymity, Privacy and Security
    • If you are looking for Anonymity or want information on what is necessary to become "stealth like" on the internet, then look no further. This site is full of valuable pointers to get you started on the road to anonymity.
  • CryptoLog
    • If you're looking for one of the MOST COMPLETE PGP resources on the internet, then stop by Robert Flower's page. You really must see this page.
  • Aegis PGP Shell
    • This is the PGP shell that I use, whether it be to add a key or two, decrypt/encrypt a message or for key administration. PGPSHELL does it all. PGPSHELL can monitor your clipboard for encrypted text and, if any is found, PGPSHELL will try to decrypt the text for you automatically. This can be turned on or off at your discretion.
  • Elliptic Curve Cryptography
    • Elliptic Curve Cryptography is a relatively new phenomenon that's beginning to appear on the radar screen. RSA has an excellent FAQ on the subject.

    • If you live Outside the borders of Canada or the United States, this site is where you can Download PGP Legally. In addition, regardless to where you live there are many resources here for anyone who is interested in PGP.

    • Yahoo has many resources for you to select from their PGP Index.

    • Now that you've got your feet wet and have created your Public and Private key's, you can Register Your Public Key with GA Tech. You can also look up other's Public key(s) on this server.
