Campaign Contribution
Limits and
Finance Information

An individual may give no more than $2000 to a candidate per election. Additional money may be given to national political parties, state and local political parties, and political action committees.

If you've already contributed $2000 to Kerry, you can get a ticket to the Party! with a contribution to the organization Kerry Victory 2004. Please send us email at bbbash@rcn.com for instructions.

This year, individuals may only contribute to John Kerry’s campaign until the Democratic National Convention, July 29, 2004, because Kerry will accept federal funding for the general election season.

Other restrictions may apply. For more information, see the Center for Responsive Politics' Campaign Finance Law page

(Per the Bipartisan Campaign Reform Act of 2002 (BCRA) the Presidential campaign season is actually counted as two separate elections - one for the primary season - which ends at the convention -- and one for the final election.)
