Woodwyn's
Meadowsweet JH, WDX

(OFA/CERF, whelped 4-22-91 by Am/Can./Ch. Copper Mist Cassanova x Heidi vom Dornenbusch)

(aka Lace, Lacey-scum, Scummy)

To date, probably Heidi's most noteworthy child is Woodwyn's Meadowsweet, aka "Lacey", a black by Am.Can.Ch. Copper Mist Cassanova. Lacey has made a few appearances in the ring, almost always in the ribbons, but I had no plans to continue showing her. Her value to me had been primarily in the field where she demonstrates a passion for the hunt. She has the added advantage of possessing a classic, hard spaniel coat which is absolute pleasure to live and work with.

Lacey has whelped only one litter of 3 to date (by Cardamine Tantoby), resulting in my first homebred liver *and* my first homebred Champion, CH. Roselyn Jim Beam of Woodwyn. A red male from that litter, Woodwyn's Rebel Yell (aka "Abby") serves as a hunter, and the third, Woodwyn's Jack Daniels (aka "Reilly") is a family pet.

Lacey completed the requirements for her JH title in Spring of 1997. She earned her 4 qualifying legs in just 5 attempts under the guiding hand of her trainer, David Krassler.

At the 2001 ECSCA National Specialty Working Dog test, Lacey earned her WDX handled by field novice Virginia Boylan.

Lacey is now in permanent residence with Virginia Boylan of Velka English Cockers in Arizona where she has sold herself on her charm! Virginia can be reached at <velb@juno.com>
