Who am I?
I am a trained actor and director. I have unbreakable faith, I am a romantic and a sometimes poet. I believe in kharma and that keeps me grounded.
What do I do?
I earn my living as a salesman, I golf and I occasionally find the time to play paintball. I am also experimenting with screen and stage writing. On a daily basis, I do what I can to contribute to the greater good in this world.
Where am I from?
I was born and raised in the Bronx, Throggs Neck to be exact. I lived there till I was 14 when my parents moved my family to Carmel, NY. My mother is from the Philippines and my father is 1st-generation Irish, we are all Americans.
I am a Native New Yorker, born and bred. Although proud of my roots, I successfully eliminated my Bronx accent (although on demand ..or excitement... I can bring it back). I've traveled all over the U.S., but throughout college and grad school, I remained in New York.
My education consists of life experience, 2 years in the Actors Studio's Master of Fine Arts program (Actors Studio Drama School) at the New School University and 4 years at Fordham University. I am a Fordham University Graduate with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Media Studies - Film.
My experience ranges from principal work on national television to M.F.A.-level theatre. I have studied with acting coaches like David Gideon and Elizabeth Kemp, and directors like Arthur Storch and Stuart Vaughan. I also practice my technique everyday at work; a salesman is by nature, an actor.
When was I born?
I was born on June 12, 1976, a true Gemini through and through. I was born 2 weeks late, 24 inches long and weighed 12lbs 2oz..
Why don't I give up? Why do I do what I do?
I can't give up, I truly feel a 'calling' to this vocation. I yearn with every fiber of being in my body and soul to act and (eventually) direct for a living. In short, I want to change the world for the better. I want to evoke emotion from the audience, to share what I feel when I watch a good performance. I know that sounds trite, but I am sincere.
What I love about acting is that you can be a kid again, playing cops and robbers, or whatever make-believe role-playing games you played with your friends. Where else in the world can you "play" for a living!? Life experience forces us to be grown-ups, I want to be a kid for a living. Acting is the exploration of your imagination; you create a character and live through them for a short period of time... Damn that's fun!
